I have been cracking my knuckles since 4th grade; I am now 24!!!
I need to stop the madness before I get too old and have ridiculous hands that can't move. It also doesn't help that I annoy the shit out of people when I do it.
The only problem is I can't seem to quit, I have tried going a couple days at a time without cracking but I will end up cracking them without even thinking about it.
I need your HELP!
Do you have any tips that might help me from cracking my knuckles?

I don't know how to stop that. Is that real grass ? amazing Mon Mode Blog
I used to crack my knuckles too but just stopped one day. I can't remember what inspired it...
haha I'm so helpful!!
I do it. I tried to stop, and I was successful for probably a year, but then I read in multiple places that it's just an old wive's tale that it does joint damage. So now I still do it a couple times a day. Plenty of my other joints crack without my even trying to - every time I kneel down my knees crack so loud that everyone around me says something about it! And sometimes I just feel like I *need* to crack my joints. When I'm on the treadmill and my ankle gets stiff, I just stretch it out until it cracks and then I'm all better. So right now I see no downside to cracking :)
Haha is cracking bad for your knuckles?? If no...meh who cares haha! As long your not annoyed by it XP
ive never been a cracker (lol) myself but maybe wear gloves when you're just lounging around? I assume its hard to crack with gloves on? lol goodluck!

mebbe you should try to learn how to knit when your hands are free :)
Cracking is definitely bad for you. My boyfried is a doctor and always tells me to stop when I do it. Any stress the joints is bad for you. But I still do it anyway, sometimes I just feel like I have to.

Agree with Kelly. Don't go cold turkey. I'd go the hold positive and negative reinforcement route.
