Wow, it has been way too long.

These past few months have been interesting. I moved to a new state and have been on an emotional roller coaster! Last week I successfully found a new job! I will be working at a Consignment store in a really cool neighborhood. They sell furniture, housewares, knick-knacks, and women's clothing! The ultra bonus is that there are two big sweet dogs who hang out in the store all day! I know that I will be able to find some great items and inspiration while working there full time.

I have been seriously lacking inspiration these past few weeks and have been completely preoccupied with life! I really love where I'm living and have been trying to get out of the house and explore more than anything. After getting my new job and feeling like things have finally turned around I decided that getting back into blogging is a must.

Am I totally nuts for being obsessed with these little booties by Shellys of London?!?! Not only am I already infatuated with Sea Foam Green they are made of canvas! I think they would be adorable with denim shorts or frilly summer dresses. I don't see any reason not to get them, but I have a feeling there might be some people who are totally over them.

This is just a small amount of the amazing shoes they have over at Lulu's right now and I really wish I could have them all! The black flats with the bow are seriously unbelievable, I can't seem to get over how simple but utterly beautiful they are. One thing that keeps me coming back is their prices are always in a reasonable range for most girls and they have a huge variety of party dresses that I couldn't pick just one to buy.

Ok some people either hate or love the crop top look. I personally love it but not necessarily by itself, I'm a total fan of layering with a crop top or having an extra large one paired with something high waisted. Top Shop has a ridiculous amount of them right now and they are hard to avoid in general while shopping around in the new Spring fashion lines. I think they will be super cute for those really really hot days during the summer. Not to mention they are super easy to make when looking around the men's tee department in thrift stores.

I have been cracking my knuckles since 4th grade; I am now 24!!!

I need to stop the madness before I get too old and have ridiculous hands that can't move. It also doesn't help that I annoy the shit out of people when I do it.

The only problem is I can't seem to quit, I have tried going a couple days at a time without cracking but I will end up cracking them without even thinking about it.

I need your HELP!

I can already feel Winter leaving and the signs of Spring approaching! One of the hot colors of this upcoming season is BLUE and I definitely need to add a little more blue in my wardrobe. I used to always want blue hair when I was growing up; the closest I got to that was having chunky blue highlights but they were a lot of work to up keep since they would turn green within a week or two.

This month is the 1 year anniversary of my blog!

Thanks to my awesome boyfriend for making me this brilliant jewelry display for my necklaces and bracelets. He took some extra scrap wood, constructed, painted, and hung this amazing organizational piece just for me! I have so much jewelry I have to house all of my rings somewhere else. I'm ready for spring and can't wait for all of the little flower skirts and bright colored dresses paired with denim jackets and oxfords. These were my favorite picks from the new Sam Edelman Collection. The black and gold oxfords are perfection and I have been on a major hunt for the perfect pair, I think I need to try these on! The grey jeweled heels are seriously gorgeous, I can think of so many great outfits to wear with them....anything black would be amazing. Man, those leopard flats look so comfortable and are beyond cute, I'm kind of a sucker for leopard though.

For the past six months I have been using MAC Studio Moisture tint as my primary foundation. A couple of weeks ago it was finally on it's last drop so I had to go out and find a replacement which is never an easy thing for me. I have very fair skin so I usually stray away from heavy foundations since they tend to make me look more orange and I can never seem to diminish that darn makeup line on my jaw; I usually stick with tinted primers and top it with loose powder put on by a large brush. So I'm standing in a drugstore for quite some time trying to figure out what the hell I'm going to buy and I scope the Almay Smart Shade and pray that it turns out okay.

This product is amazing, I am so excited I found it and couldn't beat the $13 price tag. When you first get it out of the bottle it looks like a white face moisturizer with little tiny specks in it. The moment it hits your skin it turns into a gorgeous foundation that does some serious blending. My nose and cheek bones are sprinkled with freckles and I have grown to love them so hence why I have problems trying to find something that is for fair skin and won't cover my freckles. This Almay light shade worked perfectly with my face, I put it on after my moisturizer and it feels really light and makes my skin baby soft. It doesn't feel greasy and definitely doesn't shine. I would totally recommend this to someone who likes to wear minimal face makeup but wants to have an even skin tone.

This is my shopping list for the next time I go into Forever 21, I'm really glad I have one close by now. Before it was a long trek to get to the nearest Forever so I would usually end up doing all of my ordering online; but with Forever their sizes tend to vary a lot so I love having the option of trying on my clothes before I buy them. Since I moved I haven't had a chance to go shopping and it is killing me! There are so many great thrift shops and boutiques that I am dying to go to plus the multiple H&Ms I have been seeing around town. Until I get that chance to hit the stores I fall back on my best bet to somewhat dwindle my urge to buy lots of items.....internet window shopping! Now I can have somewhat of a game plan going into Forever with my handy little shopping list.

I'M BACK!!!!

Hello there lovely readers.

I will finally be able to go back to my normal daily blogging!

This past month has been crazy for me, I was in Albuquerque for two weeks then I drove back to Santa Cruz and then I moved up to Seattle! I got a really cute 1 bedroom brick cottage and couldn't be happier with the location. I have only been in this house a little over a week so I still have a couple things that need unpacking or putting away but overall we had the place set up within a day or two.

I've gotten a lot of feedback from my readers requesting that I share a little bit more of who I am. So I thought I would share with you my kitchen, I cook a lot and spend a bunch of time in this part of the house. It isn't the biggest kitchen so I have opted to keep the countertops as free of clutter as possible. I'm totally pleased with my little work space and already have an idea on my next big purchase .... which is a KitchenAid Stand Mixer, I have wanted one of those babies for a looong time ☺

I'm just getting around to checking out all of the great comments you have left me over the past few weeks; I can't wait to see all the stuff you guys have been posting!

I'm sure most of you around the world have heard the news of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti on Tuesday and has destroyed their capital Port-au-Prince. The news reports so far have stated that 3 million people (1/3 the population) have been affected by this natural disaster, and some agencies are claiming that close to 100,000 are expected to be dead. Before this earthquake even hit this nation it was considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Yesterday I took a few moments to make a cash donation to the Red Cross. I could hardly say I didn't have a small amount of money I could contribute to this horribly devastated nation. If you feel like helping out please use the following links to send money directly to help the cause.

I am naturally a blonde and have been dying my hair for over 10 years and it has been almost every color you could imagine. The past two years I have slowly been dying my hair from black to a bright and rich red color. I have been loving it! My ends are a little dark still but it makes it look like I intentionally blended it that way. My hopes are to have my hair color like the first photo in the next few months, I will post pics as soon as I accomplish my task!

If you are like me you just might have an endless supply of t-shirts that are unflattering in the shape or are just plain boring. I found some amazing tutorials on youtube.com that are beyond easy and I feel like anyone can do them! Some of these ideas are no sew required and if they do require sewing it is extremely minimal. I also found a girl in the 5th video who does a lot of really fantastic tops (not a fan of her fabric choices but you can pick any fabric you want, which is awesome!) her tutorials are non verbal so they are perfect for the international viewers. My absolute favorite is the cowl neck dress made of two t-shirts!

I just got surprised with a sewing machine for christmas!!! I'm just gnawing at the bit to get crafting buuuuut since I'm moving out of state in a week my house is in boxes. I will just have to wait till I get to my new house to bust it open.

I was putting some of my favorite items from Spanish Moss Vintage into my cart and suddenly realized that everything I am loving from them is BLACK; I mean everything! I love color but black is the huge staple in my closet and I am usually wearing it in some part of my outfit everyday. I especially love grey and white layered with black that would have to be my ultimate color combo. I actually started following Spanish Moss Vintage when they first started selling on ebay I have bid on countless items but never win! If you are having a hard time tracking down or affording the BCBG Mendel Wedge Booties here is a super cute solution! I love the zipper on the back and find the $178 price tag a lot more appealing than the almost $600 price for the BCBG version. I found these Jeffrey Cambell "Pixie Zip Wedges" on Nasty Gal and would have no troubles pairing these beauties with hundreds of outfits.

100% in love with antique keys and usually any jewelry that has a key charm incorporated with it. I am completely smitten with the steampunk moth necklace and totally admire the use of gold, silver, and bronze into one piece; it would layer so well with different chains. So many cute gift ideas you can get on their site for almost anyone! I am a huge collector of vinyl toys so anytime I go to their store or stop by their web page I get super giddy! I really want the plush labbit and pink donut for myself buuuut it's the holidays so I should be getting gifts for other people. I know lots of friends who would be totally thrilled to get something from Kid Robot and the best part about that is they have really good prices for what they sell; unless you are getting a limited edition item which could get a little more pricey.

I have been looking into buying some dry shampoo but I have no idea which brand to buy! I will be driving across the country for a few days and I really hate washing and drying my hair in hotels since you never really have good water pressure. I always feel like the shampoo or conditioner never ends up washing out of my hair when I stay at a hotel. Plus I have heard fabulous things about the benefits of dry shampoo which led me to research some brands that are out right now. All the reviews and prices I find are so mixed that I am having trouble deciding which product to invest in.

Wow what a surprise .... while I was browsing around for my idea of a perfect holiday dress most of them ended up either being black or had sequins. I really think black dresses are the way to go for me this time of year since I totally munch out on all kinds of yummy foods that everyone is making. Black dresses especially with sequins know how to hide any imperfections since the sequins usually catch your eye! I am totally in love with the TopShop striped dress and the Forever 21 sequin piece. I think I might need to gift myself those!

I have only recently started getting into makeup within these past 6 months. I use to wear very minimal makeup and would have a horrible time at attempting to put it on when I tried. So over the past year I started watching youtube.com videos of girls showing how to do makeup, I seriously recommend doing that because I honestly learned some pretty cool tricks. I still don't wear a lot but I have totally been venturing out and investing more on quality products since they have proved to be successful with me. The only problem I have experienced is that I'm too scared to drop money on stuff I'm not sure I will like or use. So as usual I went on ebay.com to find a better deal on some new products I wanted to try. Last week I purchased two Benefit Cosmetics items (I have never used this brand before) I bought the Erase Paste and the Thrrrob Blush. Not only did I get a great deal on these items but I also searched reviews and found they are awesome at what they do.

I have so much jewelry it's ridiculous and I am constantly buying more on a weekly basis. My boyfriend is in the process of building me a custom jewelry holder with plenty of hooks for my necklaces and a shelf to put antique tea cups for all of my rings and bracelets. I'm interested to know what you use to organize your jewelry?

I love checking out new arrivals on sites and I usually head to modcloth.com on a daily basis. They seriously get new items in each day! I spotted these Jeffrey Campbell lace up peep toes and almost had a heart attack, I want them, I NEED them!! Lately I have been eyeballing these little studded fold over booties on fashion sites or on models and I just had to find them. I found out that they were made by Modern Vintage and are retailing for about $300. I am moving in a month and unfortunately can't spend that kind of money on a pair of booties so I went to my trusted deal finder.....ebay! Of course they have a version for $35 with free shipping, seriously an amazing price for essentially the same shoe.

Would you spend or save in this situation?

I will admit I'm not really a cat person, kittens are cute but I love dogs so much more! I need a bigger dog that I can play with and take running, I am totally not a fan of small dogs that people turn into accessories.

Melie Bianco bags are not only charming but seriously adaptable to almost any outfit you could create. Nearly all of their bags are under $100 but you don't feel let down by the quality in fact they have a great luxurious feel to materials they use. I am dying to have the black cross body bag at the top, it could definitely be an everyday purse! Do you like this brand of handbags?

I'm at home sick today for the second time in a month......blah, I'm so tired of this. I had a pretty bummer weekend too; I drove two hours to see a friend on saturday and we had to hang out at her house while I laid on the couch. I had to leave at 7:00 in the morning the next day because I just couldn't hang any more. I was quite the sad bear this weekend. So unfortunately there is no must have monday today.

I did stop by H&M on Saturday but the one I went to didn't host the Jimmy Choo collection. I was really hoping to get the over the knee boots....oh well! Hope everyone has a wonderful day ♥

I picked up this amazing faux fur coat at the post office this morning on my way to work! I can not wait to wear this!!!! Not only does it have a straight slim fit, but it also has POCKETS AND A HOOD! Come on, what could seriously be cuter?!?! I picked up this bad boy on ebay.com for $25; I seriously couldn't believe my luck on such a fantastic piece. I bought this jacket because I wanted something warm and fuzzy since the only other things I have are a pea-coat and a leather bomber, so I thought this could be a great staple item for my winter wardrobe. I will have to do an outfit post including my new find. What do you think of my new faux fur coat?
